Listen, they’re good people, but I don’t have $15 to spend on chocolate bars right now. Or lottery tickets for grocery store gift cards. Or recipes in a jar. Or whatever they’re selling.
Yes, I know it’s for a good cause. Yes, it’s better that they are selling something than going around the neighborhood causing trouble like that Williams boy across the way.
Ok, fine. I’ll answer the door – but I’m only buying one of whatever it is that they’re selling.
