Forty-year-old unconsciously buys HilRoy scribblers, Laurentian pencil crayons

WEST ROYALTY — Leslie Wedge, a forty-year old who graduated from Charlottetown Rural over 20 years ago, found themself inexplicable drawn to buy a package of HilRoy scribblers, Laurentian pencil crayons, and several packages of 400 sheets of lined three-hole punched loose leaf paper.

“I don’t know why, it just seems like I should have this just in case, I guess,” said the baffled customer service representative, who has not been in an educational faculty since the early 2000s.

“Is it some sort of instinct? Or is it a good sale? I’m not sure, but I better take a look at the new lunch boxes while I’m here.”

Wedge was seen wandering the aisles of a local department store, and asking workers where the Trapper-Keepers were being stored.

“I think I need a new one this year. And some granola bars, for recess. I mean break. Work break. The break from the adult work I do as an adult.”

At press time, Leslie was seen googling “Dandy Duds hours,” and looking dumbfounded to see that they had closed over 15 years ago.
