SOURIS – Stan Roach, a local amateur comedian, has decided to show off his impeccable comedic timing in a way that shares his gift with the greatest possible audience: the comments section of a local Facebook group. More specifically, a Facebook group dedicated to local news and discussions pertinent to the Island where someone was asking for restaurant recommendations.
“Listen, someone had to say it,” said Roach. “The setup was right there. I just took the opportunity to say it, and if I hurt someone’s feelings, too bad.”
The question, posted by a fellow Islander who was “[t]ired of thr usual spots (sic)” and was looking for a new culinary experience, was met with perfect comedic timing by Roach in only three words:
“Try McDonalds, dummy!”
This comedic onslaught continued as Roach decided that this foolish question had not yet been sufficiently mocked. To further emphasize his point, he immediately commented:
“Try McDonalds, dummy.”
Touché!
Undoubtedly, the comic genius of Mr. Stan Roach will be a touchpoint for all current and future comedians.
At press time, Roach had commented three more times on the post, and was warned several times to stop harassing other Facebook group members.
His comedy tour begins Saturday night in the parking lot of the Legion at 11 PM.
