ONTARIO — Chaos ensued today when a potential tourist from Ontario dared to ask a question in one of many Island-based Facebook groups.
For the sake of privacy and safety, the original commentator’s name has been removed.
“I’m thinking of coming to your island this summer. My hubbie and I are big foodies. Is there any place that serves good seafood there?”
“I mean good seafood. Really fresh stuff. None of this stuff that you get in stores,” continued the hapless would-be tourist, who had no idea of the storm they were wading into.
Within 5 minutes, the would-be gourmand had received thirty-six dining recommendations, two vague threats, a marriage proposal, and eight suggestions on where to stay.
The comment thread also spawned several heated debates as to what constitutes “good” food, if good food actually exists on the Island, and whether or not lobster should be served hot or cold.
