POWNALL – Although nothing appears to be wrong, your mother texted you this morning that she is cooking a large meal if you would like to come over for supper. A similar message was also sent to both of your siblings.
“No reason,” said your mother when asked. “Definitely no reason at all. Just cooking a chicken, and making mashed potatoes and that stuffing casserole you like.”
“Oh, and fresh bread rolls. You should come by tonight.”
Further investigation was unable to confirm if anything is the matter, as texts to your father were not returned.
“It really would be nice if you could come, say, around 6 o’clock tonight,” added your mother via subsequent text messages.
At press time, your mother was looking through old photo albums for pictures of you with your family’s 11-year-old dog Sparky for no suspicious reason whatsoever.
