Plan to meet for ice cream falls apart as each member of group arrives at different dairy bar

PRINCE COUNTY — A plan made via group chat to catch up over ice cream has fallen apart as all six friends arrived at different dairy bars.

Mike Lewis, who initially suggested meeting up, says that the situation was completely unavoidable. “I said ‘We should get ice cream Monday night and catch up,’ and three people agreed. We then tracked down two other people who never check their messages, and they agreed too. But you know what? We never once specified where we were going.”

“I mean, how many dairy bars and ice cream shacks and corner stores selling soft serve are there anyway?”

Another member of the group chat, Melanie Purdy, agrees. “I just assumed everyone knew that ‘ice cream’ means that place in Kensington. How was I to know that there’s like four places in Kensington, three in Traveller’s Rest, and almost a dozen in Summerside?”

After a flurry of texts between the former co-workers, it was determined that all six members had arrived at a different dairy bar, and no one was willing to drive any further, so they should just call it a night.

The friend group, who have not met in person for over a year, agreed to figure this out by meeting for pizza in Charlottetown next week.
