NEW GLASGOW — An unexpected bonus has arrived for a new owner of a used car. Leslie Kelly, the proud purchaser of a used 2017 Toyota Corolla, was surprised to find a perk: four QEH parking tokens tucked away in the passenger seat.
“I mean, I got a pretty good deal on this [car] already,” says Kelly. “It’s a good name, not many clicks on it, never been in an accident. But those four extra parking passes? That’s awesome!”
Kelly noted that these would come in handy if she ever had to go to the hospital for any reason, as it would save her at least a few dollars.
“I wasn’t sure what to expect when I went looking through the cushions. I mean, there were some ketchup packets, and receipts, and a straw for some reason, but four parking tokens? That just made my day.”
At press time, this reporter declined to inform Kelly that the QEH no longer charges for parking, rendering these tokens worthless.
