Shocking if true, but still-unconfirmed town allegedly exists in Kings’ County
SOMEWHERE IN KING’S COUNTY — Since the early 20th century, Island scientists have speculated that there may be a mythical “third town” on PEI — a village or community that was neither Charlottetown nor Summerside.
Local eccentric Clara McInnis claims to be from such a place.
Apparently, residents have named this as-yet-unconfirmed town “Monty-glue,” and is allegedly home to several individuals as well as thriving businesses and organizations.
“What, you’ve never heard of Montague (sic)? It’s… it’s like the third biggest town on PEI. It’s not new. Just drive east and you’re there,” claims McInnis.
[I]t is well known that Islanders are from Charlottetown, Summerside, or the country.
Further claims made by McInnis state that there are restaurants, multiple residences with indoor plumbing, and even a post office.
McInnis’ friend, Jordan Lantz — from Charlottetown — is equally surprised by this revelation.
“I’ve known Clara for years. When I asked her where she’s from, she always said she’s from the country,” said Lantz. “I had no idea that she was from some weird made up place.”
Island researchers have cast doubt on the claims made by McInnis, as it is well known that Islanders are from Charlottetown, Summerside, or the country.
McInnis remains steadfast, stating “It’s a real place! I have pictures of the signs!”
Until explorers dare travel east from Charlottetown, this mythical land of beauty remains unconfirmed — save for one weirdo who says otherwise.
