Pizza restaurant announces plan to open, close, reopen, close, relocate, rename, reopen, rebrand itself, and change menu within next 3 months

PARKDALE — An Island pizza restaurant has announced an ambitious plan for the next three months — it plans to open, close, reopen, close again, relocate, rename, change the menu, and rebrand itself within the next 90 days.

Just recently opened in December 2021, Stan’s Pizza Palace has already been the subject of rumours that it will become a Tex-Mex restaurant next week, and to be renamed “Nachorama.”

“Yes, business is good, but it could be better,” admits owner Stan Latherington. “That’s why we’re looking forward to closing and reopening again in two weeks’ time. And then eventually moving across town, and becoming known for our fish and chips.”

When asked what the future may hold, Latherington was realistic. “I just hope that the next person to run this place treats it’s traditions [of the past 5 weeks] with the respect that it deserves.”

At press time, three unsolicited offers had been received from condo developers.
