CHARLOTTETOWN — According to multiple Island mothers, there is a sale on chicken at local grocery stores, and you should get some before they sell out.
“It’s $3.99 a pound,” said one local mother who wished to remain nameless. “It’s a good deal. You can get some for this week, and then freeze some for later.”
“If you look in that cookbook I gave you for Christmas, you can probably find something easy [to make] in there,” she added. “You have been using that cookbook, right?”
Another Island mother agrees. Via text message, Margaret McDonald noted “Your not going to see a better deal than $3.99 4 chicken. Have you heard from your sister lately? Stay safe! XO.”
Although unconfirmed, local grocery stores are expected to continue this offer of discounted chicken at least until next week’s sales flyers are released.
